Scrub, Scrub, Scrub....

Since I am changing my interior from black to light blue, I need to remove the paint from the interior fastback panels.  To do this, get several cans of Easy Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner that contains Lye.  Hat, gloves, face mask and goggles are required.  Spray heavily in eighty degree weather or better, let soak for a couple of hours and keep applying to keep it wet - the paint will bubble up. Then scrub and rinse off with lots of water.  So far I have removed no less than four different coats of paint (black, white, silver blue, green and primer in between) and the wood grain texture remains intact! The fiberglass is a light tan color, so you see I still have a lot of work to do!
